ELCINA awarded “Electronics Man of the Year” for 2019-20 to Mr. Sanjiv Narayan, co-founder & board member of SGS Tekniks for contribution and exemplary role as a professional as well as an entrepreneur by which he has contributed immensely to the growth of the Electronics Industry Eco-System.
The ELCINA Jury Awards Committee awarded the Electronics Man of the Year Award to Mr. Sanjiv Narayan. An engineering graduate from IIT Delhi and an MBA from Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), Delhi, Mr. Narayan has been a part of the Electronics Industry in India for over 45 years. In 1990, economic liberalization opened up many opportunities in electronics manufacturing when, Mr. Narayan decided to become an entrepreneur. He partnered with 3 other colleagues to set up an Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) company, SGS Tekniks Manufacturing Pvt. Ltd. Today SGS Tekniks has 5 manufacturing units across Gurgaon, Manesar, Baddi and Bangalore. In addition, also have 3 Electronic design Centers in Stuttgart Germany, Gurgaon and Bangalore.
Mr. Narayan, along with his partners has been instrumental in leading the growth at SGS for the last 30 years, and the company today is seen as a role model. SGS is well respected by customers, and suppliers alike and over a third of its revenue comes from exports to leading OEMs in Europe. Today SGS Tekniks is one of the largest exporters in India of electronic sub-assemblies and boxed products to EU countries.
